TEACHING PRACTICE PHASE 2: WEEK 3
During the third week at SMHSS, KOTTARA, which commenced on 24/6/23, I immersed myself fully in the school routine. Punctuality was key, as I arrived promptly at 9:30 AM each day to adhere to the class timetable. Building rapport with fellow students became a priority, fostering connections that would enrich the educational experience.
I diligently followed the lesson plans, ensuring that each chapter was taught comprehensively. The school assembly brought everyone together, instilling a sense of unity and purpose. A noteworthy responsibility was checking students' notebooks, promoting their diligence and organization.25th June, Tuesday was a strike day but we went to school and did our work.SMHSS, Kottara organized a special event focusing on drug awareness and prevention, which we called "Anti-Drug Day." The goal was to educate students about the dangers of drug abuse and to promote a drug-free lifestyle. This experience was truly heartwarming, witnessing the enthusiasm and potential of the young minds.
One of the most fulfilling moments was conducting a diagnostic test for the students, gauging their progress and understanding. It was a week filled with learning, camaraderie, and the joy of contributing to these young learners' growth. My journey at SMHSS, KOTTARA had truly begun, and I eagerly looked forward to the weeks ahead.
